The trailer offers a glimpse of the game's inaugural female protagonist, introducing Lucia. Starting her journey in prison, she humorously remarks, "bad luck, I guess."

Additionally, the trailer confirms the setting in Vice City, marked by a prominent sign. While this may not be surprising for series enthusiasts, it remains an exciting revelation. Amidst rapid shots of criminal activities, the trailer unveils snippets of TikToks and live-streams, suggesting a significant integration of social media into the gameplay.

Set against the backdrop of Tom Petty's "Love Is a Long Road," the trailer aptly complements the numerous car-related crimes depicted. True to its Florida locale, the trailer includes unexpected appearances of alligators in unconventional places.

Concluding with a closer look at Lucia and a male character, presumably romantic partners and cohorts in crime, Lucia emphasizes, "The only way we're gonna get through this is by sticking together and being a team."

New York, CNN — A premature online release of the trailer for "Grand Theft Auto VI," the upcoming installment of the immensely popular and action-packed game series, has stirred excitement among fans. According to Rockstar Games, the developer behind the franchise, the trailer discloses that the sixth chapter is scheduled for a 2025 release.

Despite the unexpected early debut, the highly anticipated trailer garnered over 13 million views within its initial hours on YouTube.

Originally slated for a Tuesday, December 5 release at 9 am PST, the trailer plans were disrupted by the leak. In response, Rockstar Games took to X, formerly Twitter, stating, "Our trailer has leaked, so please watch the authentic version on YouTube."

The gaming community has been eagerly awaiting GTA 6, the next chapter in the action-adventure series, especially considering the considerable gap since the release of GTA 5 in 2013.

The trailer introduces a female protagonist named Lucia, depicted engaging in a crime spree across crowded beaches, city highways, and clubs, alongside her partner, reminiscent of a Bonnie-and-Clyde scenario.

Rockstar Games, a subsidiary of Take-Two Interactive, has grappled with leaks before. In 2022, hackers exposed unreleased footage from the upcoming GTA iteration, shaking the gaming community with leaked screenshots and gameplay videos. The company confirmed the authenticity of the leaked material, attributing it to a "network intrusion."
